One of the truly great things about running our own hobby store (other than to serve the communities that we love, of course!) is that we get to be the change we want to see in the world when it comes to work/life balance.

Starting Monday October 31st 2022, our full-time staff will be shifting to working the fabled 4-day week so they have more time to themselves do the things they love to do outside of work. This means slight changes to our opening hours and order fulfilment times.

Opening Hour Changes

Firstly, the retail side of the business will be closed on both Mondays and Tuesdays, and our Wednesday opening hours have been nudged forward by an hour. Nothing too major there.

Secondly, our Logistics team will be working Monday-to-Thursday instead of Monday-to-Friday

Currently, orders placed before 4 PM on Fridays are processed on the same day, and arrive on Monday.

After the change, orders placed on Friday/Saturday/Sunday will be processed on Monday (and Tuesday if we get a particularly aggressive glut of orders). All of our orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. So, we'll process any orders placed on Friday first thing on Monday, mail them out with NZ Post, and they should arrive on Tuesday morning.

We foresee only orders placed before 4 PM on Fridays to be affected... but you won't be getting those orders in time for Friday Night Magic anyway, so hopefully you won't even notice :)
